More "relevant" church nonsense. A common mantra among those who defend the methods of modern evangelism is that "We're not changing the message, just the methods". Really? Is this the message that the apostles preached?

Oh dear. You couldn't make it up! What's next.
I would have to ask the pastor of this congregation if he expects a sinful world to take anything he has to say seriously.
Or if he actually believes in a sinful world.
BTW: Did you hear about the Church of England giving out beer to fathers who came to church on Father's Day? Apparently just playing U2 music didn't help the church grow fast enough. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a good dark Guiness, but not as a church growth gimmick. Funny thing is that I joked about this in a sermon about 10 years ago. Little did I realize that it would soon become reality.
"What you draw them with is what you draw them to". - James White
Scandalous would be an appropriate word in days gone by. But in 2009, "run of the mill," unfortunately. Any wonder that unbelievers mock us?
Yeah, I did, beer and bacon butties. And you can pretty much guarentee what sort of wishy washy message was accomponied with that.
